Avoid scaling images

Avoid scaling images

Don't abuse the concept of height and width tag. Some web pages attempt ot show users what an image will took like before they actually the image by showing what is called an "thumbnail" of the images. This is usually a smaller version of the image that allows the user to view many small versions before viewing the larger one. The key to this process is to actually create a smaller version of the image and not to scale the larger image into a smaller place. Scaling the image using height and width tags to reduce the display size, only reduces the display and not the actual image size. the entire image is still downloaded and can drastically delay the final loading time of the web page, thus increasing the chances of a user closing the browser and moving on.
