Travis Barker Teams Up With H20 Frontman to End Student Drug Use

Travis Barker is lending his support to a cause close to his heart: preventing today's youth from getting involved with drugs and alcohol.

Teaming up with the One Life One Chance organization, headed by H20 frontman Toby Morse, Barker, 35, hopes to raise awareness and promote healthy lifestyles through the initiative.

"I love and support what Toby is doing for the youth," Barker tells UsMagazine.com exclusively. "It's good that these kids can see that not every rock star is a drug addict and he is such a positive, all-around role model for them."

Barker, who lost his good friend DJ A.M. to a drug overdose in August 2009, can certainly relate; He hopes that through the OLOC, kids will see that "they can be drug free and be cool too."

"Most people that come and speak at a school are immediately written off by the kids, but Toby looks like them and they can relate to him," the drummer says. "I am getting involved to help any school Toby speaks at that is in need of instruments and/or a music program."

Through the program, Barker will donate several drum kits to a handful of schools in NYC to promote healthy alternatives to self-destructive behavior; his clothing brand, Famous Stars and Straps, is also getting involved with the cause.

Keith Urban Thought Rehab Would "Destroy" Nicole Kidman Marriage

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were still newlyweds --- married for about four months -- when he checked into rehab for drug and alcohol addiction in October 2006.

Urban, 43, worried that the time away would wreak havoc on their new union.

"[I thought], 'Surely let's give it a few years so we've got some solidity, because this kind of thing could tear us apart,'" the country singer said Monday on The Oprah Winfrey Show. "'This could just destroy us.'"?

But it was Kidman herself, plus a few close pals, who staged an intervention for Urban, who was hooked on cocaine and other substances.

"It was really a profound moment in so many ways," the crooner said of the intervention. "The way in which Nic handled that moment was just perfect...Everything was just designed, I believe, for that moment to fuse us together."

It was, in fact, Urban's third time in rehab in 8 years. "I had to make a decision which road I was going to take, once and for all," he said. "I'd been at that crossroads before and always taken the wrong road."

Urban left for rehab the same night as that intervention, he said. "I didn't care about anything else."

Actress Kidman also opened up on Oprah about their enduring romance. "I think marriage is about, every day, trying to make it better and working through things and when things are tough, saying, 'I'm going to come to you and talk,'" the Rabbit Hole star mused. "We're just very tight, and we stay really tight."

Indiana authorities returned Leah, 2, to Portwood, 20, on Monday, Nov. 29, a source tells UsMagazine.com exclusively.

"Leah is moving into Amber's new home, where Amber had her daughter’s bedroom all set up for her return," the source says of Portwood, who lives in Anderson, Indiana. "Amber is so excited to have Leah back!"

On Wednesday, Radaronline reported that Leah was temporarily made a ward of the state -- meaning that her guardianship would be determined by a judge and overseen by a government agency.

Naked Gun Star Leslie Nielsen Dies at 84

He passed away Sunday at a hospital near his home in Ft. Lauderdale, where he was being treated for pneumonia.

Angelina Jolie: I Don't Want My Film to Be "Too Heavy"

First-time director Angelina Jolie opened up to Hungarian-language site Vasarnapi Hirek about shooting her untitled Bosnian war epic, which follows a romance between a Muslim woman and Serbian man. (IndieWire first turned up the interview.)

Jolie, 35, says she shot the movie twice: once in English, once in the native language of the mostly-Eastern European actors. "We actually shot a full version in their native language and we shot a full version in English," Jolie explained.

"We shot two complete films. I was only able to do it because the actors were so fluent in English so they were willing to work hard and do the scenes in two languages," the mother of six and love to Brad Pitt said.

And the Hollywood A-lister might even make her directorial debut a black-and-white affair. "It's shot in color but it could transfer to black and white. We haven't decided that," she explained. "We put a series of pictures together in black and white and it was beautiful."

Still, despite those high-brow elements, Jolie insisted: "The important thing is I want to make sure that we make a film for people who just want to go to the movies to watch a love story. To not be put off by anything that seems too heavy."

Continued the star: "We want to walk that fine line to make it accessible to everybody because it's important for as many people to see it."

SEO to market your product

It sounds contradictory, but its true. There are two main scenarios for new startups, the first is that it’s a completely new product or proposition, for example – balaclavas for pets. The second is that it’s a slant on an existing product, such as a service that allows other people to lend small amounts of money to others at a more reasonable rate.
The problem with scenario 1 is that, because it’s a new idea, people won’t know about it and so they simply wont be searching for it. You can check search volumes for particular keywords using*Google’s AdWords keyword tool*– but take the data with a pinch of salt, as it’s not always entirely accurate.
For scenario 2, because it’s an existing product, the competition is likely to be far too strong (at first) to get those rankings. Even though the person-to-person micro-lending example above is a relatively newish idea (the example is actually stolen from*Zopa, who have been around for a few years now) – the new site would still be aiming to rank for terms like “small loans” and “payday loans”, which are remarkably competitive and could take a huge amount of time and effort to rank for.
This isn’t to say that you shouldn’t be thinking about SEO when you prepare for launch, however. Launching your startup is one of the biggest opportunities you have to gain links into your site – links that, later down the line, could prove to be invaluable in allowing you to rank above your competitors, or rank for particularly high traffic driving phrases. While there are a huge number of intricacies with search engine optimisation, the basics are to find the right key phrases to target, to include those terms on the page naturally and within the page title and, of absolutely massive importance, to get other sites to link to you.
When launching your startup, even with just your minimum viable product, there are a large number of chances to pick up links – potentially some of the strongest links you could hope for.

Malin Akerman to Replace Lindsay Lohan in Porn Biopic

Malin Akerman, 32, will take over the role of Linda Lovelace in Inferno.

Lindsay Lohan, 24, was originally slated to star as the famed porn star. On Saturday, director Matthew Wilder announced the troubled actress would no longer play the role.

"We have stuck by Lindsay very patiently for a long time with a lot of love and support," Wilder said. "Ultimately, the impossibility of insuring her -- and some other issues -- have made it impossible for us to go forward."

Wilder then revealed that Akerman, who previously starred in Couples Retreat, Watchmen, and 27 Dresses, will take on the role. "We are so honored to have Malin and know that she will kill it," he wrote on Facebook.

The actress is now filming Wanderlust with Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd.
