Charlie Sheen can breathe a sigh of relief: the actor will not face criminal charges for his October meltdown at New York City's Plaza Hotel, E! News reports.

"There have been no arrests," an NYPD spokesman said. "That case is closed."

Officers began investigating the incident after porn star Capri Anderson filed a criminal complaint against Sheen, alleging that she was the victim of assault and harassment.

In her complaint, Anderson said she locked herself in the bathroom after Sheen reportedly got drunk and began yelling and throwing furniture around his suite.

Despite the scandal, Sheen didn't seemed the least bit fazed.

"If a guy has one bad night everybody goes insane and panics," Sheen, 45, told Extra. "I'm not panicking."

Capri Anderson: Charlie Sheen Put His Hands Around My Throat

Capri Anderson, the adult-film star who was with Charlie Sheen during his Plaza Hotel meltdown in October, says she feared for her life after Sheen lost control.

Anderson, 22, was hired to escort the actor, 45, to dinner, she tells ABC's Nightline. The night, according to her account, began with a rocky start.

"He was, from the beginning of the night, very loud and he had no hesitations when it came to using derogatory language or cuss words," Anderson says.

"But it wasn't until he put his hands around my neck that I really thought to myself, 'You have gotten yourself a bad, bad situation,'" she says.

"Towards the latter half of the night, it got really bad. He started yelling racial slurs," Anderson adds.

Eventually Anderson, fearing for her life, locked herself in the bathroom and called hotel security.

When guards arrived, they found a trashed hotel room with damages of reportedly $7,000. Sheen, reportedly naked and intoxicated, voluntarily went to the hospital.

"It's not right to hurt people. It's not right to scare people. It's not right to carry on with such disregard for the people around you," she says.

Anderson's interview airs on ABC's Nightline on Monday at 11:35 p.m. ET.

Charlie Sheen is shrugging off all the talk over his alleged Oct. 25 meltdown in an NYC hotel suite.

"If a guy has one bad night everybody goes insane and panics," Sheen told Extra. "I'm not panicking."

During his supposed freakout, the Two and a Half Men star, 45, caused $7,000 worth of damage to his hotel room and lost a $150,000 Patek Phillippe 5970 watch.

"The way I look at it, if you have expensive tastes, you gotta be prepared for expensive losses," he quipped.

After Charlie Sheen unexpectedly filed for divorce on Monday, an attorney for the actor's wife says she feels betrayed.

"Charlie humiliated Brooke," lawyer Sorrell Trope tells TMZ, claiming that Mueller, 32, wasn't given a heads up about Sheen's decision to file.

Trope says that the estranged pair signed a property agreement in May, but agreed to wait another year before filing for divorce. Why? "She didn't want to make trouble for Charlie," Trope explains. (In the spring, Sheen, 45, was on trial for allegedly attacking Mueller.)

The actor, 45, and wife Brooke Mueller filed for divorce on Monday, TMZ confirms. Citing "irreconcilable differences," Sheen is seeking joint legal and physical custody of twins Bob and Max, 19 months; Mueller responded by filing for primary physical custody and joint legal custody.

The couple -- who wed in May 2008 -- got into a violent fight last Christmas when Sheen reportedly threatened her with a knife. (Sheen pled guilty on lesser charges and spent time in rehab, not jail, for the offense.)

Both husband and wife spent time earlier this year in rehab for alcohol and drug addictions. Just last week, Sheen was reportedly found intoxicated and naked in a Plaza Hotel suite in NYC; he allegedy flew into a rage and caused $7,000 worth of damages to the suite.

After subsequent online reports suggested that Sheen was binging on cocaine and hookers back in L.A. and even close to death, his concerned manager stopped by the Two and a Half Men star's home over the weekend. "Charlie is fine and will be at work on Tuesday," the manager said in an email.

Even Mueller downplayed her estranged husband's most recent incident, telling Extra: "Charlie is a survivor. He knows how to handle himself. You know how things get blown out of proportion."
